Ok let me say this first I touched, talked to and had my picture taken with Peter Forsberg!!!!!
Ok now that is out of my system I will be good I think in my report.
The event was held at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees. It was scheduled to be 6-10.
I got there a little before 6 and got checked in. My assigned table was Mike Knuble. I thought AWESOME!! I like Mike I respect him a great deal as a player it was a great honor to sit at his table.
I seemed to be the first participant at my table so I picked a chair that would keep my back to the boards and a good view of the entire room. I like to take pictures as you all well and know and if I can’t see the room no pictures.
Since there was no one else at my table I left my things and walked around and took pictures of the other tables. Each table had a Jersey centerpiece with the player that would be sitting at the table’s name and number. The players would later autograph these and pick from tickets we each had as to who would be the luck person to take them home.
The players started arriving around 6:30. They were trickling in. They took their seats at their table and got introduced. I now had 3 people sitting with me at the table Bunnie, Caroline, and Theresa. We kept looking for Mike Knuble. Most of the players were seated and people started getting food. Still, no Mike.
I got up and went over to talk to Kyle Calder to give him a little ribbing for the broken glass from the 23rd. (yes I know link the pictures)

I also went and talked to Randy Jones about having met some of his friends and that they were pretty cool.
Theresa and I got up to go and talk to someone else and we asked if Mike was coming. They said they were not sure and said Berube would come and sit with us. Then we went back to the table and another person came over and said there was room with Ben Eager’s table. Theresa and Caroline went to his table and Bunnie and I stayed. I spotted Mike and went to retrieve the others.
They moved back but, still no Mike. So we went to get food. We got in line and Mike got in line behind us. We all introduced ourselves as his table and what great timing.
While we were eating and Coatsey got up and talked. We did a standing ovation of the team. Then they did player intros and our table made extra noise for Mike. Then Joe the president got up and talked and introduced all the officers.
After all that was done people got up and walked around and mingled, got autographs and pictures with the team. I have included updated pictures of my Hatcher jersey (which I did make a point to show Mr Hatcher I was sporting his jersey tonight) with the new signatures.
You guys know me I am happy to take the pictures just not to be in them. I made it in quite a few pictures with Peter Forsberg, Mike Richards, Mike Knuble and Derian Hatcher. Then I overheard the players talking they were off to somewhere to watch something. Later I heard they were out to go watch 24. The players were all gone by 8.
There were lots of great stories from tonight. The best one I heard was about Peter Forsberg. The story I heard was that after the standing ovation he said “that was great of us to do that considering the way the team has been playing”.
I am glad that the team appreciated that and I hope they know how much we appreciated them.
I am sure I forgot something. I know some of the pictures are dark but I had the flash off cause there were enough people blinding others.
